When we hear the word, “community,” what comes to mind? Community can mean different things to different people. At MMI, they take special interest in spearheading initiates to build a sense of community on their properties. Bent Tree is no exception. Located in Memphis, TN, this 379 unit apartment complex located five minutes from Graceland is full of residents that can attest to MMI’s commitment to community, from the office staff to the maintenance crew. They’ve hosted everything from contest to church to a talent show, as well as given out supplies to school kids which is an effort that can go a long way, especially in the areas that are affected the worst by the economic downturn.
The staff at Bent Tree puts community first, and once again showed this by hosting an open house/grill out on the 16th of August featuring live a DJ a large bounce house obstacle course and grilled hotdogs. Enticed by the blaring music, residents assembled in the courtyard behind the office to jam out to old and new school tunes as the children crawl through the bounce house as the staff grilled up the hot dogs and served drinks to the mostly elementary age crowd.
“The residents here at Bent Tree love it, not only does it give us a chance to show how we appreciate them, it also shows as a testament to prospective tenants as they visit and see that we do take pride,” says Jon Butler, the Regional Marketing Assistant that coordinated the event. It makes a huge statement to the residents that the management cares about more than just collecting rent money on the first of the month and strives to leave a lasting impression on the people that call Bent Tree home.
