MULTIFAMILY MANAGEMENT INC. RAISES $14,000 FOR RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE CHARITIES OF MOBILE
(MOBILE, AL) – On February 6, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Mobile was presented with a check for $14,000 by Multifamily Management, Inc. (MMi). The funds were raised through the “MMi Cares” campaign through a collective effort of donations from residents of over 51 MMi managed apartment complexes in over 8 states, their staff and vendors during November and December 2013.
“We are very grateful for this generous donation and the support we have received from Multifamily Management, Inc.” said Paul Giardina, executive director for Ronald McDonald House Charities of Mobile. “Donations like this help us to support families of hospitalized children as they nurture their children back to health.”
Ronald McDonald House Charities of Mobile provides a “home away from home” to families with seriously ill and injured children being treated at area hospitals through the Ronald McDonald House and Ronald McDonald Family Room programs.
“We, as a company at MMi, wanted to give back to our local community, and not just be a place of business. We had the opportunity to tour the Ronald McDonald House in Mobile and it was a great connection. We saw the benefit that the Ronald McDonald House does for those families when they need it when their child is receiving medical care – we wanted to do something and give back.” said Josh Young, director of marketing for Multifamily Management Inc.
MMi pledged to raise $10,000 for Ronald McDonald House Charities of Mobile and exceeded that goal by raising a total of $14,000. In addition to the check presentation, staff and employees of MMi and members of the “MMi Cares” campaign participated in the Ronald McDonald House Family Meal program and provided a home-cooked meal for the families staying at Mobile’s Ronald McDonald House on February 6.
